During our trip to New Mexico, we visited the uranium museum, where we learned about the making, testing and utilization of the atomic bomb. Uranium was mined under the Navajo tribe in New Mexico during this time to supply the bomb. Native Americans were exposed to this extremely unstable and radioactive element, their water now undrinkable because traces of Uranium. I chose to put this under the "Communicate Ideas" pillar because we heard an unbiased take on the issue of uranium in New Mexico. This answers my question because it gives a historical background to conditions white encroachment has formed on the natives, through the destruction of their water sources to test atomic bombs for war natives were not concerned with.
